Washed Process Coffees

Washed process coffee, also known as wet processing, removes the outer layers of the coffee cherry before drying, resulting in a clean, bright, and crisp cup that highlights the bean's intrinsic origin characteristics. This method involves depulping (removing the skin), a short period of fermentation in tanks to break down the mucilage (pulp), and thorough washing with water before slow drying.
