Long-awaited return of Ethiopia Asikana organic/bird-friendly natural process!

Last year we were introduced to the Ethiopia Asikana Farms growing portfolio of natural process coffees and delighted now to herald the return of this fruit bomb, which just recently hit the US shores. This small lot, called Leeqaa Suchii, was produced at the cooperative by smallholder members of 4 communities: Wara Babo, Wara Kura, Wara Wayu Garjo, Homi Suchi. Very excited to share our baby-sized lot of 665 lbs. This was only the second coffee

we've brought in which was subject to a tariff surcharge, and it was 49 cents per pound...reflected, transparently, in the retail price. This farm, established in 2008, is poised to be a rock star in the Ethiopia natural process sector...we anxiously await the addition of washed process coffees to the Asikana stable and will grab it whenever it becomes available in future years.
