Additions to the shop for October-November

The Trump administration's tariff program is having an impact on incoming coffee, with

a spread of a 10-50% increase so far on some of our favorites. The 50% tariff applied to Brazilian coffee is the most impactful worldwide and affects a huge amount of the US importation. This is an untenable situation for us as it makes a merely o.k. product nearly as costly as some of our exquisite offerings. You will see our Canaan Estate drop off the menu next week. But the better news are the arrivals from our co-op partners in Nayarit, Mexico (washed Patio Lot #150 El Cuarenteno Melaza to replace the Peach Reserva Lot 225 as well as the Natural process Manzana Reserva, which takes the place of the Natural Peaberry lot). Superb as always, and microlots you will only find at Badbeard's.

Arriving next week are Colombia washed Finca Samaria Tabi and Samaria's Pink Bourbon Natural process, a coffee that knocked my socks off on a cupping table just a couple of months ago. Will add to the menu the day before they arrive in Portland.

I'm so sorry about the mess in our government. Ugh. We so do appreciate your coffee. Nothing else compares! Thank you.
